Role description and responsibilities

Talentspace is on a mission to improve the recruiting experience and make opportunities to have face-to-face interactions with employers available for everyone. As a (Senior) Backend Engineer you will:

  • Work closely with our CTO and the 3 backend team members in the 12-people engineering team to design the technical architecture and build a robust, scalable backend system
  • Manage and maintain the backend system and release process to ensure scalability
  • Partner with Product and other teams to define feature specifications


What you bring

  • Candidates that perform well in this role typically have about 3 years of relevant development experience shipping products into the world
  • Strong background in technology and application design
  • Solid expertise in Node.js
  • Experience working with relational databases, SQL
  • Experience in working with (RESTful) APIs, GraphQL is a plus
  • Experience building audio/video streaming applications is a huge plus
  • Ideally, you would also have experiences with DevOps, managing and setting up infrastructure on AWS
  • Excellent written and oral English communication skills
