There are different categories of employment contracts in Armenia. These contracts are signed for a definite or indefinite period of time. Besides these contracts there are also employment contracts of a predefined duration but they are signed only in atypical situations.
The working hours in Armenia is 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week. Also the working hours should never exceed 12 hours per day, 48 hours per week. Overtime work is controlled and should not exceed four hours during two consecutive working days and 120 hours per year. The work that is done between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m is considered as night work.
There are three categories for annual paid leave in Armenia and those are: minimum, extended and additional leave. The minimum annual paid leave in Armenia is 21 days. Extended leave and additional paid leave may go up to 35 days ( or 48 days in rare situations)
