Meet The Team! Alex Mitrevska, Native’s Chief Experience Officer

Meet The Team! Alex Mitrevska, Native’s Chief Experience Officer

Say hi to Alex Mitrevska, our Chief Experience Officer!

Alex is the person who makes sure all the great Native ideas get executed, and she does it with a big smile on her face.

A few years ago she started her Native journey as a Support Agent, then moved onto a Product Manager position, then Customer Success Manager, Account Manager, Product Owner, Head of Operations and now a Chief Experience Officer.

She’s living proof that everything is possible in life – but only if you work hard enough for it and keep a positive attitude.

Get to know Alex even better in our interview below:

Alex, please describe yourself in a sentence or two. Or three. 🙂

Well well, I would say this is like asking me to write a novel in 3 sentences 😀

So, a happy and rather simple person who loves plants and animals and not so much humans. 🙂 A believer and an anxious dreamer, I am so tiny that I can only be either good or bad at a time, doesn’t fit the both 🙂

You’re a CXO at Native. What do your daily tasks include?

I would say I do everything, every day 🙂 I care and make sure everyone has all they need to work and here to answer every question in addition to my overall company experience tasks. I am involved in management, in HR, in the product side of things and really all aspects that should make a productive day, week, month, year, company.

What did you want to be when you grew up?

A princess 😀 ahahha, I am serious.

How did your career evolve?

My princess career has not much but my current one… Well it had many many role changes, challenges accepted, dreams about work and weekends spent thinking about Mondays 🙂

I actually started as a English teacher and was doing great until I applied for a job position as a support agent for the company that I am involved in now. I started there, then Jack offered me to try a product manager position and I accepted, I actually accepted all offers after that, so customer success manager, account manager, product owner,  head of operations and now CXO 🙂

What I learned is that we can do as much as we take.

What is the best part about working remotely?

I guess the fact that the world can be my office.

And the part that you like the least?

Working in my pyjamas 🙂 It’s so not cool and makes me less productive really, I am sure my body doesn’t get me serious that we need to work.

So I tend to work from our coworking spaces but if I have to work from home I always shower and dress, so my mind gets from bed to work mode. 😀

What is the best thing about Native?

In my opinion the whole social remote proposition. I really see the future of work being remote so I think the fact that we cover the social and engaging parts of it it’s amazing.

I have always struggled to achieve the feeling of belonging somewhere and what Native and especially the teams part does is acknowledging that nowadays as people are getting more alienated than ever. So having all the tools but also a crew of remote workers anywhere you go is pretty much all I and I believe every remote worker would like to have.

Also, the team behind it! I love our small but so big team, every day it’s like having so many friends behind the screen, I am so proud that we managed to build a family of remote workers. <3

In your opinion, what is the first step if one wants to transition into a remote worker or digital nomad?

I would say getting out of their comfort zone and social pressure of having a “regular” job. Then the patience and hard work of finding a good job that you will enjoy and work from anywhere.

Just talking from personal experience here.

What puts the biggest smile on your face?

It’s a who actually and his name is Toto, a furry friend of mine. No matter what he can steal a smile on my face 🙂

What’s on your life to-do list?

So many things honestly but a priority is to move to Lisbon. Then, work on my driving abilities, buy a sea house haha, read more books and work on my patience. 🙂
