Meet Kristijan Gjorgiovski, Our Customer Support Specialist

Hi Kristijan, we’re so happy to finally catch up with you! How are you today?
I’m doing great, thank you! I’m excited for this opportunity to share a bit about myself and what I do here.
Who is Kristijan? What can you tell us about yourself?
I’m Kristijan, and I’d describe myself as a problem-solver and a team player. I’m passionate about technology and love exploring new innovations. Outside of work, I find balance by spending time in nature, which helps me unwind and recharge. I also enjoy spending quality time with friends and family, whether it’s hiking together or just sharing a meal. It’s all about finding joy and staying connected with the people and activities that matter most.

What attracted you to become part of Native Teams?
I was excited to join Native Teams because it’s a forward-thinking fintech startup that focuses on helping freelancers and remote workers. The company’s efforts to provide customised financial solutions and improve processes for this growing group really appealed to me. I wanted to be part of a team that’s making a real difference by offering tools and services that help freelancers manage their money and work better. Being part of a company that’s leading the way in this area was a big draw for me, and I was excited about the opportunity to contribute to a forward-thinking team.
What does your typical working day look like?
My typical day involves tackling customer inquiries, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring that each client receives top-notch support. I also spend time collaborating with my colleagues to improve our processes and solutions, ensuring we’re always evolving and improving our service. Each day brings new challenges, which keeps things dynamic and interesting.

What do you believe is the most important quality for a customer support specialist?
Empathy is the most important quality. Understanding and relating to customers’ concerns helps build trust and makes it easier to resolve their issues effectively. It’s about putting yourself in their shoes and working towards a solution that meets their needs.
How do you approach challenging customer interactions?
When dealing with tough situations, I stay patient and calm. I listen carefully to the customer’s concerns, recognise their frustrations, and work together with them to find a solution. My aim is to turn a negative experience into a positive one.

What are your career aspirations for the future?
I aim to continue growing professionally within the customer support field, eventually taking on leadership roles where I can mentor and guide others. I’m also interested in exploring new technologies and methodologies that can enhance customer service and support.
What would you recommend to anyone wanting to become part of Native Teams?
I’d recommend being open-minded and proactive. Native Teams thrives on innovation and collaboration, so a willingness to adapt and contribute ideas is essential. Passion for supporting remote workers and a positive, can-do attitude will also help you fit right in.
Where can we find you when you’re not working? What do you love to do the most?
When I’m not working, you can find me spending time in nature or with friends and family. I enjoy outdoor activities like hiking and exploring new trails, and I also love hanging out with loved ones, whether it’s having a casual get-together or simply enjoying a meal together.

What's the one app you couldn't live without and why?
I’d say social media apps like Instagram and Messenger are ones I couldn’t live without. It’s a great way to stay connected with friends and family, share moments from my life, and keep up with what’s happening in the lives of those I care about. It’s not just about posting photos; it’s a way to maintain close relationships and feel connected, even when we’re miles apart.
What’s your go-to song to get hyped?
I don’t have a specific music genre that I stick to, but I do love the remix version of “Togetherness” by Nikifor. It has an infectious energy that really gets me in the zone and boosts my mood, no matter what I'm doing.

And lastly, if you could give one life advice to your younger self, what would you say?
I’d tell my younger self not to be afraid of making mistakes. Mistakes are valuable learning experiences and often lead to growth and new opportunities. Embrace them as part of the journey and use them to become more resilient and adaptable.
